This novel has 12 chapters and is spread over 240 pages. It relates the conditions in which I was born, my childhood, the reasons for my multiple trips to the West, my problems of integration, my misfortunes in love, the reasons for my incarceration, my life as a soldier in the British Armed Forces and finally, my final return to Cameroon after almost two decades abroad. I speak of my war; it is a metaphor for my difficulties which, though different from yours, have the same points: pain, frustration, disappointment and disillusionment.
